Why Work With Delphi? — Sample Physician Schedules
Every program is different…we work with hospitals to develop individualized programs that are custom designed for each facility. Take a minute to read a couple of the work situations that some of our physicians are experiencing right now.
  • Our physicians at one of our General Surgery Hospitalist (sometimes called Surgicalist) programs are working 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off. They travel in from other states and provide 24/7 call coverage and follow-up care for the 2 weeks they are on and then go home for 2 weeks. These physicians receive full-time remuneration and malpractice coverage.
  • At one of our Orthopedic Hospitalist programs our physicians can work up to (10) 24-hour shifts per month for full-time remuneration and malpractice coverage. Again, we have some doctors that travel in and work a 5-day stint and then pick up the second block of time later in the month.
  • In some of our OB/Gyn Hospitalist (sometimes called Laborist) programs our physicians have the option of working up to (8) 24-hour shifts per month where they receive full time remuneration and malpractice coverage. This instead of working as much as 20 days a month in a private practice with a number of nights and weekends required.
These are just a few examples of programs that are up and running nationwide. Since each program is custom designed for each hospital, these are situations that are similar to, but not exactly like, all of our programs.
